Santa Rosa Newborn Session

Last October, my husband and I finally got to meet our new favorite person – Adeline March. After carrying her for 41 weeks and 1 day, I really couldn’t believe she was a) here and b) ours! Having a baby is a funny thing – you know that the end of pregnancy will result in a tiny squishy human you get to love and who will keep you awake at night, but when it actually happens, it’s nothing short of unbelievable. Adeline has added immeasurable joy to our lives, and I’m in awe daily that I get to be her mama.

We took these pictures (many thanks to the magic of a tripod and my patient mother!) in our home when she was 7 days old, and there are no words to describe how much they mean to me. Looking at them now, it’s crazy to me that she was ever this little! She feels so big now! She’ll be 5 months old next week, and I truly can’t believe how fast our first few months with her have flown by. I hadn’t really thought about sharing these, but I got to meet a dear friend’s new baby girl today and I’m prepping to photograph another dear friend’s new baby girl next week, so naturally, I’m feeling crazy sentimental. You are so loved, my little Addy!
