Oh these pictures make my heart happy! Rachel, John and I tromped through dew-laden Merritt’s Pasture for their sunrise engagement session a few weeks ago, and I love the result. These images have such a soft and quiet romance to them, that I absolutely adore. I’ve had a lot of sessions at Merritt’s Pasture, and I’m always amazed at the diversity of this one little field. From golden grass to frost, it’s always beautiful. On this morning, though, I had never seen it prettier. I’m not a florist, but those little white tufty flowers were everywhere, and I was dying. Not even two minutes into taking pictures I was hoping through the field in my rain boots exclaiming “Don’t move! Ohhhh myyy goshhhh y’all this is so pretty!! I’m obsessed with this image!” Moments like that are one of the many reasons why I love my job – the thrill of being able to capture something beautiful. Also, these two make a pretty good-looking couple, and I can’t argue with that. John was a total goofball the whole time (you should see the outtakes of his many silly faces), and Rachel somehow managed to look absolutely flawless at 7am. This sweet pair gets married in less than two weeks, and I’m so excited to head to to Charlotte for their big day! Y’all are amazing, and I’ll see you when you say “I do!”
