Hello hello! I’m so excited about this y’all. I’ve never officially “hired” an intern before – Morgan more or less texted me relentlessly for 3 months until I finally let her second shoot. Her persistence and dedication has proven to be incredibly valuable, and she has grown to become one of my dearest friends as a result of working with me over the last almost 2 years. I think the Lord used her to break down a lot of my stubborn “I’m an independent woman and I can do this all on my own ha!” kind of attitude. While Morgan will still be a vital part of my business in 2015, I have some gaps that I’m looking for the right person to fill!
I’m looking for someone who:
Loves marriage, weddings, people, photography and creativity.
Is a hard worker and will do whatever it takes to get a task done.
Can think on their feet and adjust to quick changes.
Has a servant’s heart for my couples and clients.
Is outgoing and loves being around people.
Has a working knowledge of Lightroom, Bridge, InDesign and WordPress.
Is independent and represents my brand well.
Is available about 10-15 hours per week beginning in early April at my home office in Chapel Hill.
Is a generally cheerful and happy person :)
As an intern you can expect to learn:
The ins and outs of running your own business from home.
How to incorporate shooting film into your workflow.
The flow of a wedding day and working with other vendors.
How to have successful weddings and shoots.
Managing a business during the busy wedding season.
How to make your subjects feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.
Maintaining a consistent blogging schedule.
Embodying a brand beyond the website.
This internship will include lots of hands on experience! You’ll be a part of my senior mini session spree as well as the beginning of my busy wedding season and a lot of the behind-the-scenes in between. Sound like something that you’re interested in? Fill out this application by Thursday, February 12th at 11:59pm. The application has a couple more details, but if you have any questions, please comment below instead of emailing me! I’ll know when your application is submitted, so please don’t email me to confirm it’s receipt. I’ll be in touch with you about next steps by the end of February!
