There are so many things I love about Lisa and Alex’s Historic wedding. The toile pattern that showed up in so many design elements, Lisa’s absolutely incredible Lazaro gown, the way Alex looked at her as she walked down the aisle, the 1950’s Bentley they made their getaway in – the list goes on! These two were married during a trifecta of hurricanes on the east coast, but, thankfully, the clouds parted enough for their ceremony to still happen outside. I’d like to think that was Lisa’s father, who passed away several years ago, looking out for his daughter :) This wedding was the first time a ceremony had happened in front of Tuckahoe Plantation’s historic home, and I’m so grateful that I was there to capture it. I love how LK Events used such clean and classic designs to let the beauty of the house and property speak for themselves. Lisa and Alex have known each other most of their lives and walked through many highs and lows together. It was wonderful to see their families come together and celebrate their love and a wedding they’d been waiting years for.
