Ok guys, I’m obsessed with these pictures. I know I’ve said that about 100 other shoots and weddings, but seriously. When these scans kit my inbox, my heart beat a little faster. Michelle and Lane’s Marin Headlands elopement was somewhat of a “bucket list” booking for me as the scenery, light and location really can’t be rivaled. The Marin Headlands have always been one of my favorite spots in the Bay Area, and I’ve been itching to shoot a wedding there ever since I photographed this shoot a couple years back.
Michelle and Lane’s ceremony was just as dreamy as I imagined it, but the real treat was their sweet 7-month old baby girl, Elle. I can only pray that my future children are as cute as her! Seriously, such a sweet face! With their closest friends and little Elle, Michelle and Lane said “I do” under a classic golden California sun with whales splashing in the ocean below. Michelle’s grandfather was a Santa Barbara court judge and married countless couples in his time. Using his notebook filled with various wedding ceremonies, one of Michelle’s dearest friends performed their ceremony. He wrote the names of all the couples he married in between the lines on each page, and it’s so fun to know that Michelle and Lane are among those couples now.
Michelle and Lane – congratulations! I’m so grateful that I got to document your sweet ceremony and witness what will forever be the most epic walk down the aisle!
