This spring Carolina Inn wedding is particularly special to me since it was the day a good friend of mine from college married her favorite guy! I’ve know Kelsey for years – she’s the kind of girl who has that classic Southern kindness, but whose quick wit can catch you off guard and have you doubled over laughing. Getting to know her in the context of Brendan and his many roommates in college meant that she regularly had me giggling to myself with her responses to their antics. Her wedding day was equal parts laidback and classic, a perfect mix of Austin and Kelsey’s personalities with their beautiful venue. I worked as a wedding photographer in Chapel Hill for 5 years and never had the opportunity to shoot at one of our most famous and beautiful venues, The Carolina Inn, until I moved 3000 miles away! Guys, I mean, I literally lived less than a mile away for three years! Oh the irony… Needless to say, I was pretty pumped to shoot there.
This wedding was blast to photograph, from their portraits at the beloved Old Well (that light!!) to the reunion we had with some of our closest friends. I’m so grateful that I got to be a part of your big day, Kels and Austin! Congrats again!!
