If you’ve ever had the opportunity to visit Paris, you know it’s unlike any city in the world. It’s one of the few places I think actually lives up to the hype! With a maze of tree-lined boulevards and cobblestone streets, Paris is one of the dreamiest places to get lost in. My parents and I had been several times before this trip, but this was Brendan’s first visit, and I was SO excited to show him around one of my absolute favorite cities!
We decided that our France trip as a whole could be summed up as “seeing beautiful things with breaks to eat delicious food in between.” Our time in Paris certainly fit this mold. We ate croissants every morning from the bakery around the corner before heading out to visit one of the many famed museums (posts on those outings coming soon!), stroll along the Seine or explore one of Paris’s unique and charming neighborhoods. We definitely got our 10k steps in every day (23 week pregnant feet made sure I knew that!) and had no trouble regularly refueling at nearby cafes, which was easily my dad’s favorite activity – you can see him in his natural habitat a few about halfway down ;)
By the end of the trip, I was more love with Paris than ever – I am SO excited to bring our little girl here one day. For now, we snagged a watercolor painting for her nursery (you can see it in the 3rd to last image – it’s the large vertical painting) to help instill a little wanderlust. If she’s anything like her mama, she’ll fall just as hard for this amazing city.

View from the top of the Eiffel Tower! Call me a tourist if you must, but I’ve climbed the Eiffel Tower every time I’ve visit Paris and I have no regrets! The views are *amazing*. Definitely a must-do in my book!
You might recall that I have a running series I take of my husband, Brendan, overlooking various scenic views. I’ve been taking these for years everywhere from the coast of California to the North Carolina mountains to the beaches of Costa Rica. I had this image in mind fro the moment we booked our trip, so one more we woke at sunrise to beat the crowds at the Eiffel Tower. This is easily my new favorite from this series -can’t wait to frame it and add it to my growing collection!
Goodness, I could have a whole other blog post dedicated exclusively to the food in Paris. Everywhere you turn are amazing bistros and little cafe gems.
