I’m so excited to share this Morning Glory Farm wedding with y’all! Derrick and Rachel are just the best. I’ve known Derrick for many years now, and he’s become a great friend of mine. When we first met, we bonded over being unashamed photography nerds and the rest is history!Â
It’s always such an honor to photograph another photographer’s wedding, and it was particularly fun this time around. These two trusted me from the get-go. Despite having to reschedule their big day because of Covid, they still gave me so much creative freedom with their portraits. From finally nailing a double exposure I’ve tried to get for years to a speedy roll of B&W film (my new fave thing!), Rachel and Derrick were down to let me experiment a bit while still getting those classic wedding shots.Â
Their wedding was originally scheduled in April, but when Covid made it’s debut, it was pushed to the following fall. Even with a big change in seasons, we were blessed with perfect weather – 72° and sunny – just like a nice spring day.
And while I normally consider myself a blue color palette girl, this wedding as me singing another tune. I loved the warm tones and shades of pinks Rachel chose for her bridesmaids. And those florals! Obsessed.Â
I have a feeling I’m going to be in love with this pictures for a long time :) Love you both immensely, and I’m forever grateful that I got to be a part of your wedding day!Â
