Inspired by pastel hues with a touch of butterfly whimsey, this Paris bridal session editorial set in the Tuileries Garden in Paris highlights the beauty of Paris in spring. Our color palette of pink, lavender and blue was largely inspired by Bella Belle Shoes’ famed Eve heels. The stilettos have delicate chiffon butterflies and are the perfect nod to one of springtime’s most prolific pollinators. I am so happy I finally got these beauties in front of my camera!Â
Katia of Fleurs de Muse crafted a lush bouquet of sweet peas, ranunculus, lilac and roses among other blooms. Her designs in soft, feminine hues tied in perfectly with the newly blooming Judas Trees found throughout the Tuileries Garden. Isn’t that bouquet such a dream? I adore a mauvey pink color palette, so these florals make me so happy.
Katia’s statement floral installation fit perfectly with the lush surroundings and provided a focal point that was both bold and delicate. I was so amazed when I saw this installation in person because it provided such wow factor!
The gown from Dylan Parienty Paris is a classic bridal ivory, and its soft, off-the shoulder sleeves added a touch of romance to the classic silhouette. The dress’s details are reminiscent of butterfly wings, embroidered with beaded florals and wing-shaped petals. It was a perfect pair to our statement heels. I was tempted to source a blush or lavender gown for our shoot. Instead, I opted for classic ivory to allow the colors from our florals to shine.
And while we often associate spring with warming temperatures and sunshine, the weather on the day of this shoot was the very opposite! Overcast skies and a temperature of 45° F did not provide the spring feeling we were hoping for. However, the magic of hiring committed and talented vendors is that they will see your vision through, even if there are obstacles or things that don’t go to plan. You’d never know our amazing model, Juliana, was shivering throughout the shoot. Everyone behind-the-scenes was wearing knee-length coats! Despite the chilly weather, this Paris bridal session still exudes the essence of springtime. We left feeling absolutely inspired by and in love with how everything came together.
I am so grateful I had the opportunity to work on this beautiful editorial! Shooting in the Tuileries Garden was a dream come true. These images are sure to be among my favorites for long time.
