Picking your wedding photographer is a big deal, and I'm thrilled that you would consider me. While you wait to hear back from we, I wanted to give you a few tips as you think through choosing your photographer.
With my work, I always aim to take images that have emotion. Joy, love, romance, humor and honesty - it’s my goal with every gallery delivery to give couples images that help them remember not just how their wedding looked, but how their wedding day felt.
Truthfully, I’m not sure how many weddings I’ve shot over the last 10 years - I stopped counting a while back! And those weddings happened in a variety of settings and conditions. Trifecta of hurricanes on the wedding day? Check! Tense family dynamics? Check! I can honestly say that I learn something new every time I shoot a wedding or session and it has made me a better photographer.
You may have seen this a few times on my website, but it’s because it’s so important to me - I always aim to show up to a wedding feeling like your friend and not another vendor. I love being a resource for my couples as they plan and think though their wedding day. I want to know my couples well by the time I get to their wedding day (it’s why engagement sessions are great!) so that they can comfortably and confidently be themselves in front of my camera.
There are a lot of reasons why I chose to be a photographer and why I value my work so much, but a big reason is that I get to be a witness to the beginning of a marriage - the creation of a new family. I view my images as heirlooms to be treasured. It’s why I think my job is such an amazing privilege! I get to create images that a couple will look at on their 50th anniversary - that is crazy! Your wedding is just the beginning of your legacy and it is such a joy to be a part of it.
