Onto the next leg of our West Coast Adventure! This post is essentially a “part 2” of our perfect day in Santa Barbara. If you know me at all, you know that I am unashamedly a fan of wine. My parents own a vineyard, my mom is a winemaker, I took a wine pairing class when I studied abroad in Italy and as a kid I spent Saturdays (reluctantly, I admit) visiting countless wineries throughout Napa Valley when we lived in California. My favorites were always the ones that had crackers :) So when Brendan and I were making our drive up the California coast, you know a winery stop was on my must do list!
And that brings us to Sunstone Winery and Villa, a lovely little place that I’ve wanted to visit for a long time. Not only do they make tasty wine, but they’ve also hosted some of the prettiest weddings I’ve ever seen. There are a lot of places I’d love to photograph weddings and they are certainly on that list. After wandering around Santa Barbara, Brendan and I made our way to the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley where we got a bottle of white wine and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. There were also some kids attempting to play bocci ball, which, I’m sure you can imagine, was very entertaining! From there, we snuck over to the villa so I could snap a few pictures and daydream about shooting a wedding there :)
