Everyone, meet one of my dearest friends, Chelsea. I had the absolute joy of photographing her and Nick’s Washington DC engagement session last month! Chelsea has long been one of my most empowering friends – driven, compassionate, justice-oriented. She is also one of my silliest! The two of us have made absolute fools of ourselves on countless occassions – were we those girls that wore sneakers to the bar so we could dance “better”? Yes, that was unashamedly us. She has found such an amazing partner in Nick who is supportive, thoughtful and incredibly motivated. As lawyers and activists, the Supreme Court was such a fitting location for their Washington DC engagement session. They’ve gathered here for protests, taken strolls nearby after work and no doubt read countless articles and case reviews from the judges within. But despite, being incredibly professional in their work lives, Chelsea and Nick are incredibly easygoing and casual outside of the office, which is why I’m so happy with how cozy and intimate their pictures are. Just two people enjoying each other’s company and so, so in love.
Chels, I love ya! So happy I got to spend an evening with you and Nick! Can’t wait to throw down on the dance floor at your wedding – promise I’ll wear heels that match my bridesmaids dress ;)
