Tori + Jeff’s Monterey Engagement Session

There are so many reasons I love these pictures of my dear friends, Tori and Jeff! They remind me of a weekend spent with lifelong friends exploring one of the most beautiful spots in California. Brendan and I have known Jeff since our freshman year of college. He’s our “cool friend” – a Navy pilot who casually talks about jets and other flying things that are above my head. A few years ago, he let me try on his G-Suit, and it was one of the highlights of my life. Jeff has been an incredible friend to Brendan over the years, and it’s safe to say that he’s found his match in Tori, who’s solid, insightful and appreciates all things Jane Austen and wine. I think it’s pretty obvious that Tori and I get along great ;)

After we took these pictures, we drank wine and watched the sunset over a choppy Pacific Ocean. The light was just perfect. The best part about Tori and Jeff’s Monterey engagement session, though? They weren’t even engaged yet! He was planning the proposal, asking me and Brendan for feedback on ideas and rings and timing. She was patiently waiting. So, needless to say, I had fun taking these pictures knowing that in just a few weeks Jeff would ask Tori to marry him. Such a fun little secret to hold while photographing them :) Now that Jeff popped the question last week and gave Tori one of the *most* beautiful engagement rings I’ve ever seen, I’m so excited to share these pictures! Tori and Jeff, we are SO excited about the adventure ahead! Love you both SO much!
